Conference Information

SROs, Principals, Safety Directors, Superintendents, School Counselors, Teachers, and all other school safety stakeholders are welcome to attend all 3 days of training.*

The registration fee for the 3-day conference is $275. This fee includes all training materials, daily breakfast, and a 1-year ILSROA membership.

*We also offer a 1-Day Only Pass for for School Admin and School District Personnel for $100. This fee includes all training for 1 Day and breakfast. Please note which 1-day you will be attending in the NOTES section on the registration form.

Registration deadline is Friday, June 6th, 2025. Any cancellations made after June 6, 2025 will not receive a refund.

SRO Re-Certification:

2025 Conference: Hours towards SRO Re-Certification - To Be Announced

-All class sessions are evaluated by MTU 8 and ILETSB and scored for IL training mandate hours

-Total hours will be announced prior to the conference

 

2024 Conference: Hours towards SRO Re-Certification:

Active Threat Response:  10 hours

Youth & Officer Interaction: 4 hours

Juvenile Law:  2.5 hours

School Resource Officer Certification and Recertification:

Beginning in January of 2021, any law enforcement officer serving as a School Resource Officer (SRO) pursuant to an agreement between a school district and a law enforcement agency, must be certified as having completed the necessary course of instruction. This certificate may be obtained by completing the Board’s new course (the ILETSB SRO Course) created especially for new SROs or by obtaining a waiver based on previously completed coursework.

If you are a chief or sheriff seeking to enroll your officer into the SRO program, please click here to download the SRO Application/Waiver Form. This form will allow you to enter all pertinent information regarding your SRO officer. If your officer has completed courses in the required fields, you may request a waiver using this form as well.
